Fünf Musiker aus den verschiedensten Winkeln Norddeutschlands erkunden seit bald zehn Jahren die Weiten der progressiven Gitarrenmusik auf der Suche nach einer Antwort. Eine Mission, die hoffentlich nicht so bald ein Ende finden wird. Schicksalsschläge, Neuzugänge und nicht zuletzt eine unüberhörbare Leidenschaft für das Verborgene und Übersehene lockten die Band vom steilen Pfad des Post-Hardcore auf den Fersen von Tidal Sleep und Envy ins wilde Dickicht des instrumentalen Post-Rock. Schicht für Schicht erschaffen sie hier im Schutz von Moment Of Collapse Records mitreißende Miniatur-Epen, deren Klimax aus strudelnden Gitarren und wirbelnden Rhythmen sich innerhalb von Sekunden in stoisch fließenden Klangflächen auflösen können. Im Februar 26 erscheint das dritte Studio-Album Years That Answer, über das sich BRUECKEN auf der Karte ihres ganz eigenen Soundscapes neu verorten. Wir können kaum erwarten, zu erfahren, wohin die Reise geht!

Paths are made by walking, Kafka once told us. But how does that work with bridges? For nearly a decade, five musicians from the farthest corners of northern Germany have been exploring the vast landscapes of progressive guitar music in search of an answer—a mission we hope won’t end anytime soon. Fateful blows, new additions, and above all, an unmistakable passion for the hidden and overseen have lured the band away from the steep path of post-hardcore, following in the footsteps of Tidal Sleep and Envy, into the wild thicket of instrumental post-rock. Layer by layer, under the wing of Moment Of Collapse Records, they craft captivating miniature epics whose climaxes—swirling guitars and spiraling rhythms—can dissolve within seconds into stoically flowing soundscapes.
On February 26, their third studio album, Years That Answer, will be released, allowing BRUECKEN to redefine their place on the map of their uniquely evocative soundscape. We can hardly wait to see where the journey takes them next!
